Six Men Sing A Christmas Classic. But, The Man In Red Is Really Special

Just in case you aren’t in the Christmas spirit, yet, this video will definitely help you out. Just imagine one of your favorite Christmas songs sung by a music legend AND accompanied by a brilliant acapella group. Well, here it is. See country music star Kenny Rogers join up with the amazing acapella group, Home Free, to sing the popular Christmas song “Children, Go Where I Send Thee”. As an added bonus, Kenny Rogers looks a lot like Santa in the video!

With that red shirt and white beard, it’s hard to deny the Santa Claus resemblance. But, even though the actual Santa Claus has a jolly, booming voice, I doubt he has the smooth, familiar tones of Kenny Rogers. Personally, I tend to enjoy classic, familiar versions of Christmas music, but this version of “Children, Go Where I Send Thee” is so cool that I had to listen to it several times. It has a fun, modern feel to go along with the classic lyrics, and the accompanying singers are amazing. Kenny Rogers is a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame and is one of the best-selling artists of all time. Though he is mainly known for his country music, he has performed other genres, as well. Kenny may have had a long career, but it’s certainly not over yet. You can still catch him on tour!

In this video, he’s joined by acapella singing group Home Free. Acapella groups never cease to amaze me with their beautiful harmonies and unique sound. It’s hard to believe that there are no musical instruments accompanying in this song. All of the music is made with their voices alone. Home Free is considered a country acapella group and their sound fits with Kenny’s perfectly.
