Jay Lavery, a farmer from New York, became famous overnight thanks to this video. About 15 years ago, he had a back injury, which resulted in several back surgeries, including a discectomy and a spinal fusion. As the consequence of all of the above, Mr. Lavery suffers from constant back pain. Dancing, yoga and meditation are his alternatives to pain medication. Since working on a farm requires a lot of physical activity, dancing helps Mr. Lavery stay warm while loosening his joints. Please, LIKE and SHARE his awesome moves.
This video has been viewed over 8 million times on Facebook! Mr. Lavery has received many encouraging and supportive messages, including a few dozen marriage proposals from women of different ages. However, this farmer is waiting for his Prince Charming, scram, ladies! After Mr. Lavery’s video had gone viral, he received an invitation from Ellen DeGeneres. A couple of days ago, the episode, featuring our favorite dancing farmer, aired on the TV. He told Ellen that music always plays in the barn during winter months, because the sounds that come from the frozen tin roof freak the animals out. During the show, Lavery even got a chance to bust a couple of moves with tWitch. Ellen presented a perfect outfit for Jay’s dancing breaks at the barn, and it’s hilarious.
Thankfully, the world got to watch this awesome video before the company that owns the rights to Sia’s song “Cheap Thrills” asked to remove the song from Lavery’s video. On Youtube this video doesn’t have the sound. Until Sia says it’s OK to use her song, we’ll just have to enjoy the video on Facebook. Mr. Lavery invited Sia to perform the song live at his farm. I hope she agrees, their duo would definitely go viral in a blink of an eye.
